This one day class will cover all the basics you need to know to start creating photo realistic results with Sketchup, using VRay. You'll have your own workstation for following along with the class and for doing the class exercises.

Class fee of $295 includes printed course notes, plus a 30 day demo of VRay for Sketchup (PC only, mac version available in May).

Course syllabus:

Morning Session:

1. elements of realism - an overview.
2. workflow - basics of setting up a VRay rendering in Sketchup - class exercise
3. material editor in depth - simulating complex materials

LUNCH

Afternoon Session:

4. The vray render settings - overview
5. Global Illumination and getting faster/better results
6. Complex interior - class exercise
7. Q&A, wrap up

Class Instructor: Jim Lammers owns Kansas City based production studio Trinity Animation (www.trinityanimation.com) and is the author of 3 popular books on Maya that have sold over 30,000 copies and have been translated into 8 languages. Mr. Lammers has been involved in 3D rendering since 1991 and his firm now employs 7 people. Lammers has taught classes on 3ds max and Maya to Nestle, KCWE, KMBC and many others.
